Speakers

Ivan Danyliuk

About talk:

Designing code around the data has been a known concept in computer science for decades. Adapting it to the distributed systems and software architectures reveals the same crucial importance of data analysis for the systems design.

By exploring real-world examples we’ll see how just by analyzing data, companies were able to make clever trade-offs and save millions of dollars per year while simplifying their stack drastically at the same time. We’ll learn that systems designed around the data are usually much simpler and cheaper.

Through fascinating examples, we’ll also see how bad our intuition on data analysis, and why every gopher should be passionate about data science.

About speaker:

Ivan Daniluk is a senior software engineer with more than a decade of experience in writing networking software for security market. He’s an active member of the Go community, a conference speaker (OSCON, GopherCon, Codemotion etc), the host of the GolangShow podcast, and organizer of Golang meetups in Ukraine and Barcelona, the author of numerous articles about Go, and the author of a few popular projects for Gophers. Ivan enjoys helping people to learn about Go and programming and is highly interested in artificial intelligence, data science, neuroscience, visualizations, and new approaches to education in general.

Ivan Kutuzov

About talk:

Golang is one of the simplest and at the same time powerful programming language the author can ever use. It has been discovered that it is hard to solve a complex problem in a simple way, or when you create powerful solution it becomes harder to understand it.

Simplicity and readability have a big price and significant results. This talk about how to simplify solution by understanding key constructions in the language and how to studying it faster based on them

About speaker:

Ivan Kutuzov is a senior software engineer with more than a decade of experience in writing backend for web applications. He’s an active member of the Go community, organizer of Golang meetups in Ukraine. Ivan enjoys helping people to learn about Go and programming and is highly interested in performance, optimization, simplification of the solutions, its quality, and automation process.
