Many of our favorite open-source tools have been around for nearly a decade. While they paved the way for data engineering as we know it, they’re built on outdated architectures and lack scalability.

Let’s meet up at the Big Data Case Study Night #12 to analyze the new wave of tools and emerging tech that enhances (or revolutionizes) the Modern Data Stack.

This talk will provide a framework for thinking about data tooling and discuss the data developer experience (DevEx).

By approaching tooling through the lens of DevEx, we can be sure to find solutions that:

Our speaker, Matt Palmer, is a Developer Success Engineer and general superstar at Mage. Before joining Mage, he worked across the data stack as a product analyst, analytics engineer, and data engineer at companies like Storyblocks, AllTrails, & Underline Infrastructure.
