Title of the talk: “Stochastic scattering control of Walsh’s spider diffusion with optimal diffraction probability measure selected from its own local-time”.
In this talk, we will begin with a short introduction to Walsh’s spider diffusions on a star-shaped network, presenting their main properties with a special focus on the local time at the vertex. We will then outline the main ideas, steps, and mathematical directions recently undertaken to prove the existence and weak uniqueness of a spider’s motion with a spinning measure depending on its own local time.
Building on this, we will introduce a new control problem related to such processes. The stochastic control problem seeks to understand how the spider particle is diffracted at the vertex. The key lies in applying a new boundary condition at the junction point, referred to as the nonlinear local-time Kirchhoff’s boundary condition, together with recent advances in the analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations in the viscosity framework.
