War in Ukraine: How to Help
Ukrainian defenders are bravely fighting for our country. But they need help. And so do other people affected by the war. A way to support them is to transfer money to the accounts of specialised foundations and organizations.
The following list is for people all over the world who are interested in helping Ukrainian soldiers or Ukrainians who have suffered from the occupiers’ crimes. Tell your friends and colleagues about these opportunities to donate.
This list is not exhaustive. We did not intend to list all the existing initiatives – there are so many of them. Here, we collected the largest and trustable ones.
Help for the army
The National Bank of Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine has opened a special account to raise funds for the needs of Ukraine’s army. As of 12 March, as much as UAH 11.4 billion has been transferred to the account, including 3.3 billion – from abroad in foreign currency.

Ukrspetsexport is a state-owned company responsible for procurement of weapons and military equipment. It is owned by the state concern Ukroboronprom.

Come Back Alive Foundation
Come Back Alive Foundation
The largest Ukrainian foundation helping the army. Founded in 2014 due to Russia’s military aggression in the east of Ukraine, the organization equips and trains the military.
The organization has open financial statements and is active on Facebook. From 24 February to 10 March, more than UAH 2 billion (68 million dollars) were transferred to the foundation’s accounts.

Army SOS
This is a charitable foundation helping the Armed Forces with air and radio reconnaissance, control and fire damage systems. They publish their quarterly financial statements on their website, as well as contacts of volunteers in Poland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany and the USA. The foundation also informs about its activity via a Facebook group.

Charitable Foundation of Serhiy Prytula
Charitable Foundation of Serhiy Prytula
This organization was founded by a public and political figure, volunteer and TV presenter Serhiy Prytula. Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine in 2014, he has been raising funds and sending aid to the military. In six years he managed to raise UAH 45 million. As a volunteer, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the III grade in 2019.
The foundation covers the urgent needs of the Territorial Defence, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and other Ukrainian military formations. Serhiy Prytula regularly publishes reports on his Facebook page.

KOLO
KOLO — a charity founded by IT professionals and top managers that delivers medium-size consignments of various equipment to the military at the forefront. The organization has a Facebook page where you can read about its work. On 14 March, for instance, four drones with infrared cameras, charging stations and spare batteries (worth UAH 3 million), as well as 57 thermographic cameras were delivered to Kharkiv, Dnipro and other hotspots in Ukraine.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov mentioned on his Facebook page the official (managed by the ministry) cryptocurrency wallets for the army.

According to him, the Kuna cryptocurrency exchange has created a Reserve Fund of Ukraine, which has already raised more than $30 million for the Armed Forces. Addresses:

Humanitarian help
Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine
The National Bank of Ukraine opened an account for the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine — for donations on humanitarian needs. The money will be used to set up infrastructure for displaced persons, clothes, shoes, medicines, and basic necessities for the people who suffer the most from the war.

Ministry of Healthcare and the Red Cross
The Ministry of Healthcare, together with the Ukrainian Red Cross, opened a special account to help health facilities. All funds raised will go to the hospital.

Vostok-SOS — this organization helps victims of military aggression. A Facebook page informs about their activity. Recently, they managed to collect half a million USD in just two days. This money was spent on medicines for a hospital, food, hygiene products, etc. for the people staying in the East, as well as mattresses and blankets for refugees.

Help Ukraine Center
It is a volunteer warehouse center where one can send humanitarian aid from all over the world. It was opened by Ukrainian businessmen together with the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
The Foundation buys medicine and other humanitarian help in Europe. Here are the details for donations:

You may also buy something from the list by yourself and then send it to the warehouse, from where it will be distributed to where it is most needed. The information about packaging can be found on the foundation website. There is also an active Facebook page.
Razom for Ukraine
This charity specializes in critical medical supplies. Now it also works with governments and embassies on humanitarian corridors. They constantly post about their activity on a Facebook page.

Hospitallers
Hospitallers — a volunteer organization of paramedics founded in 2014 by Yana Zinkevych. The Hospitallers Medical Battalion provides medical aid at the forefront and raises money for urgent medical needs. On the eve of the full-scale invasion, the organization announced that 100 volunteer paramedics were going to join them. In eight years, the Hospitallers conducted more than 3,000 evacuations. Their reports can be found on their webpage as well as on a Facebook page.

Support Ukraine NOW
Created by the international initiative Global Shapers with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, this must be the most complete resource on how foreigners can help our country. Among other information on the site, there is a Donate section, where you can see foundations for military assistance and humanitarian support by category.
Stand For Ukraine
It is a website with loads of information on how to help Ukraine today. The site offering information in as many as 13 languages was created by volunteers.
UA AID Centers
The UA AID Centers website contains information about centers collecting help for Ukraine in many countries all over the world, including Austria, Germany, Norway, Czech Republic, Netherlands and others.
One can also find there lists of things needed for Ukrainian people or the army. The lists are organized by categories: things for the military, food, things for civil defense, healthcare. The lists are being updated daily in accordance with requirements the resource receives from official representatives.
The website does not accept donations, but provides a list of reliable funds and foundations.
Handbook of Priority Needs
There is also a Handbook of Priority Needs for volunteers wanting to help the army. The handbook was developed by the Center for Strategic Communications together with the Ministry of Culture.
Celebrities worldwide also do not stand by. Among those donating money and encouraging others to do so are
- David Beckham (his foundation collaborated with UNICEF to help Ukrainian mothers and children);
- Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis (raised $30 million in a week to help Ukrainian refugees abroad);
- Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively (donated $1 million to Ukrainian families through USA for UNHCR);
- J.K. Rowlin (through Lumos charity, donated £1 million to the most vulnerable children);
- Jennifer Aniston (encouraged her 40 million followers to support Ukraine, listing four organizations to donate to, including the Come Back Alive foundations).
