  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

Stack Overflow maybe has a different definition of a Junior/Mid/Senior level or perhaps it consists of a similar salary. But nowhere i saw the skillset evaluation as per salaries.

  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

Well surely a statistic can be possible. When people claim their salaries there is no validation for that also. One can write whatever salary they wish as yaroslav says sounds a bit subjective.

  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

But what is reality? An overexaggarated market without analysis of qualification levels?

  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

But they don’t really specifiy the level of their “Skill” Junior does not imply junior in every case and senior in case of senior.

SO perhaps they should also evaluate this and write it. What is the criteria for them for a junior. Someone who did some online courses with a small application does not classify as a junior. There are exceptional cases of course.

But i would say in places like stack-overflow where they are putting statistics surely the criteria of defining a junior or senior or mid level might be a bit different in terms of qualification then DOU..

  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

  • Are DOU Salary Statistics Realistic?

Well understated? or overstated? I think the assessment of skills is an employers task rather than the developers so salaries are probably correct as the employer researches the market and provides.

Surely all organisations research salaries for a given skill and experience before offering them and not just blindly what a developer may assume the salary is and ask for it.

  • Неадекватні HRs у NETDMT RelateData

Now lets talk about Mikhail Medevsky who certainly does not have a tiny percent of professionalism. He is the champion of spaggeti code and apparently still claims to work for this company on linkedin www.linkedin.com/...isha-medvedsky-2112b4112

So if the boss was too bad why are u still working here? A lot of cost was spend on the mess that he made in the existing modules written and also many modules had to be thrown away because of badly written code and trying to trick the colleagues that his code works and lying about everything that he does.

Along his lack of ability to write any functional code he is pretty good in soliciting other team members to believe his views about an employer and try to form a union like in the old days.

Did he forget to also mention his behaviour after being fired? Threatened to storm the office with his friends and tell other team members to leave also. Well so much for a young aspiring software professional perhaps you should try politics.

Instead of going on about an organisation who kicked you out because of your lack of skills and behaviour why don’t you concentrate on finding some real work.

Perhaps i should also mention that this guy also is a TAX EVADER who thinks that IT companies would hire him. I think it will be good to report him to the tax office to begin with so they can investigate his “Non-Taxed” income from freelance work that he does for the Baltics.

I guess it only takes one phone call to notify the tax authorities.

  • Неадекватні HRs у NETDMT RelateData

Wow Yulia you surely have got plenty of time in your hands to write reviews about HR of other companies. Let me begin by asking you what is your real qualification to judge the competency of an HR person. Perhaps if you spend so much time in reading about the topics that you claim on your CV then you would have gone one step forward in the interview process i would say.

Although Ukraine has a lot of well skilled IT Graduates there are occasional smart arses like you who firstly do not know the industry or the process an IT recruiter or HR follows to identify the inadequately skilled candidates like yourself who have nothing better to do then brag about conversations to an HR and pretend they you know it all.

Frankly speaking this reflects on you as a person and prospective employee of any company. It shows how professional you are in your world of “Little Knowledge”.

Lets talk about the “MR John Pohn” who uses a fake name to pretend he worked for a company and has hating comments against someone’s nationality. Sure i heard there are two problems in Ukraine “Bad Roads and Idiots” Now i understand what category you fall into.

You all should know that a prospective employer would perhaps read your comments in DOU and think that they are better to black list candidates like you and that will be if they have a good HR/IT Recruiter who does the due diligence before going through the interview process with poorly skilled dreamers like you lot.

I would advise to spend time doing something productive rather than ranting on DOU about HR and organisations who do not encourage your ignorance.

Hello everyone. Sorry i dont speak russian/ukranian. I am kicking off a startup in Kiev and am looking for Java developers or someone who wants to work in a commercial project. Please contact me at [email protected]

Project starts next month and i am looking for motivated individuals who want to learn latest technologies and implement them in a real world.

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

Agree and there is corruption everywhere but the level depends on countries. And i am not planning to live there permanently the idea is to run a start-up there and it can be managed remotely we are in 2015 we have Skype, Video conferencing etc etc should be ok ;)

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

I already speak Russian, can read perfect cyrillic and am going to start practising Russian again once i am in Kiev. Well the structure i am looking to operate in Kiev is different so its been taken care of via an umbrella company as i am still planning to operate my UK company.

TBH i been in kiev 4 times was fine with english. I am not planning to immigrate there. My plan is to kick off a “Start-up” travel a few days a week to kiev to check day to day business and have a project manager to look after the rest.

Not new in the Offshore Project game have been running a few telco transformation projects so this should ideally work. However what you have said is valid and thanks for pointing that out :)

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

There are a lot to list. Drugs, violence, being a white minority in UK some to name with and lets not forget daily bullying from fat kids who steal cakes :P

It seems to me i have forgotten this painful journey. You are right i did this at the time of ILR as well :)

  • Топік для пошуку роботи

Maybe you should do some research before assuming i am some cocky recruiter. There is a linkedin profile attached. have a look. Then talk!

I am trying to run a startup project . What i would say is if you have no life and have nothing better to add to this then rather stay quiet and play your gaming console and eat popcorn.

    Thank you.

  • Топік для пошуку роботи

I was quite unaware that there are a lot of cocky people on this forum who really think they are big shots and love to make assumptions.

Well i was looking to hire some experts without paying them peanuts if you were referring to that.

However as they say “There is no medicine for Ignorance”

  • Топік для пошуку роботи

Any experienced JAVA & PostgreSQL Gurus out here? Also someone with Data Warehouse commercial experience ? Please let me know in case there is anyone in this forum.

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

Baltics are a good place. However i would go to Norway if i was you. I have worked in norway on an aussie passport. The reason i said Norway is because The process of getting a resident visa if you have a job offer is fairly quick (after submission of docs via employer to the Immigration office about 5 days). You will get a visa and a social security number on the spot.

However in order to work in Norway u must possess an extraordinary skill in your field as the priority in norway works same as in any EU country i,e the resources are given preference in the order

    1) Norwegian citizen
    2) Norwegian permanent resident
    3) People from scandinavia (Denmark. Finland, iceland , Sweden etc)
    4) EU countries
    5) Outside Eu.

Sounds tough but posssible. Another option is ESTONIA. And looking from your experience it could be a good place as it has good taxation and good companies setup there.

    Anyway hope it helps.

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

Typo. You are right 5 years for ILR. One yearon ILR, pass that silly “Life in the UK test” get the citizenship and then finally stand in the EU citizens queue ;) good luck with ILR.

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

Originally from India? wow you must have a crystal ball that tells you this. UK has the third generation of Indians so maybe i am born here but have India Origin. I would refrain from remarks that show my ignorance if i was u.

Now what motivates people to move somewhere. So here is the response:

I have worked as a IT & Telecoms Architect for numerous Industry leading companies in Russia, Japan, Australia, India, USA, Canada, France, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt to name a few.

I understand the CIS region because of working with various clients there and the ability to grow in this region.

Ukraine has good universities, motivated students and genuine skills of people that can be leveraged. However the problem is that in this situation there is no future for the younger generation and they dont know where they stand.

SO my intent is quite simple, Start-Up in Ukraine, Help the young developers to develop their skills (of course loyal once only), run industry based product development and see how it goes.

  • Из Лондона в Киев?

Exactly what i am doing :)
