I worked in Fractal for several months and this was a valuable experience for me as a starting data scientist. Before I officially started working for the company, I went through a 3-month intensive training, which covered both data science and engineering. After that I was assigned to an experienced mentor who helped me a lot during the onboarding process which included hackathons and soft-skills trainings. My projects were both exciting and challenging and I learned a lot from them, also, the company provides free access to lots of courses, including Coursera. The team has a friendly and motivating atmosphere which is very supportive for younger employees. The only drawback for me were frequent overtimes, mostly because our projects usually had team members and clients from different time zones.
Unfortunately, I had to leave my job because of relocation, but I have very much enjoyed my time spent in Fractal and I would definitely recommend the company as a starting point in IT field.
