Just in case if somebody here is interested in a not-so-humble opinion of a developer who has made it all the way from a school in Kiev to a senior position in IBM Toronto Labs and beyond — well, with a persistent lack of skilled developers there is no observable handicap for foreigners in IT. As I like to put it — “if they have enough reason to understand what you’re saying- they certainly will”.
About children — 2 of my children can speak more than 2 languages — just because they like it. It is not a rocket science, especially before high-school.
Bottom line — as certain Jordan Belfort has said: “The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”: Dixi.
TBH, I didn’t really expect constructive discussion, thanks!
As for the children — both en/ru/de, plus one a bit of fr/es
About Belfort — he’s better known as a motivational speaker, and in this capacity his phrase does hit the spot.
